Adolfo Lara Martinez passed away at home surrounded by family in Watsonville, Ca on December 27, 2025.
He was born in El Jaral, Guanajuato, Mexico to his parents Benito Lara and Paula Martinez on April 30, 1949.
He came to the United States at the age of 16 and made Santa Cruz County his home in 1969. He dedicated his life to working in the farming industry, a field he deeply loved and to which he gave his all.
He shared 56 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, who was truly the apple of his eye. A man of few words and deep thoughts, he spoke only when he had something meaningful to say. His quiet strength and wisdom touched everyone who knew him.

Though his life journey took him far from his hometown of El Jaral, he never forgot the friends and bonds he treasured there. Those friendships remained close to his heart throughout his life.
His presence, integrity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
