Alfonso D. Palacios

Alfonso D. Palacios passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, at the age of 88.

Alfonso was born on October 29, 1937, at La Piedra Parada, Guerrero, Mexico to his parents Francisco Palacios and Matiana Aviles. He arrived in Watsonville at the age of 21 in 1958 and worked in the Agricultural Industry for many years. He was also a devout Catholic and Teamster member. He married Maria Salvatierra Palacios and together they built a family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Alberta Palacios and his brother Salomon Duque.

He is survived by his wife; his children Francisco A. Palacios (Sandra Palacios), Barbara Delia Palacios and Alfonso F. Palacios Jr.; his siblings Juan Ochoa Duque and Diocelina Palacios; his 2 grandchildren Viviana F. Palacios and Julian A. Palacios.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Valley Public Cemetery.
