On January 20, 2020, Angel Isaiah Campos Esquivel peacefully passed away.
Angel, born on December 29, 1998, was a native resident of Watsonville. He enjoyed worshipping, sports, writing music, and singing and rapping.
Angel was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Francisco Hernandez, and Josephina and Marcelino Campos; his paternal grandfather Osbaldo Esquivel Jr.; and his paternal great-grandparents Osbaldo Esquivel Sr., Maria Esquivel, and Virginia Ontiveros.
He is survived by his fiancé Larissa Hernandez, his son Mateo, and his stepdaughter Danielle Hernandez; his parents Lorena Campos, step father Blaze Grell, and father Osbaldo “Lito” Esquivel III; and his brothers and sisters Matthew, Maverick, and Leilani Grell. Angel is also survived by his maternal grandparents Maria and Gilberto Campos; his paternal grandmother Yolanda Esquivel, his maternal great-grandmother Amanda Hernandez; his paternal great-grandfather Gilbert Ontiveros; and his godparents Araseli and Gilbert Campos, and Eva Gabino. He is additionally survived by his aunts Laura (Paul M) Campos, Diana (Brandon) Mays, Ined de Anda, and Ana Esquivel; his uncles John Moreno, Adrian Campos, Delio (Crystal) Esquivel; and an abundance of cousins and extended family.
A viewing service for Angel’s family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 30th from 5:00-9:00pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, with a rosary at 7:00pm. A final procession to the place of committal will begin on Friday, January 31 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel at 9:00AM and will conclude with a Final Blessing at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park at 10:30am.
