On Thursday, November 10, 2016 Antonia Galvan peacefully passed away surrounded by her family in Watsonville. She was 77.
Antonia was born on July 20, 1939 in Jalisco, Mexico to her proud parents; Jose Maria and Petra Martinez.
Antonia was the first daughter of 11 children born to Jose Maria and Petra Martinez.
She married Alfonso Galvan and together they raised 8 children. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, tending to her birds and plants, walks on the beach and picnics at Mt. Madonna. She loved life and had a great will to live.
She was preceded in death by and her parents; Jose Maria and Petra Martinez and her grandson Joshua Baeza.
Antonia is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Alfonso Galvan and children; Leticia Bravo (Juan), Hector Galvan (Lupita), Armando Galvan (Lilia) , Endy Novelo (Johnny), Ofelia Baeza (Manuel) Alfonso Galvan (Susana) Grace Galvan, Angelica Galvan. She is also survived by her siblings Baudelia Meza, Felipe Martinez, Elena Delgadillo, Concepcion Martinez, Esteban Martinez, Rita Noriega, Matilde Martinez, Enrique Martinez, Jose Maria Martinez, and Dolores Macias, her 5 granddaughters ,12 grandsons, 3 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters and several extended family members and friends including neighbors of over 40 years Homer and Stella Martinez.
Services will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church 700 S. Green Valley Rd. Thursday November 17th , viewing 5:00PM to 9:00PM with a prayer service from 7:00PM to 8PM. and Friday morning service at 10:00AM with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
