Arcelia Quintero

April 30, 1929 — September 25, 2013

Arcelia Quintero, age 84 of Moss Landing passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family September 25, 2013. She was born in Mexico the eldest of eight children, married to Mateo Quintero for 70 years and mother of eleven children. Her life was committed to her family and their happiness which brought her joy. She had a kind, loving and generous heart who made everyone feel like family. She was so endeared and leaves behind eight children, thirty three grandchildren and twenty seven Great Grandchildren. She was the center of our family and continues to bring us together in our time of sorrow.
Survivors include her husband Mateo Quintero, children:Blanca A. Petersen (Dennis), Ernesto Quintero (Maria), Mateo Quintero, Fidel Quintero,Honorina Quintero, Alberto Quintero (Marli), Reyna Q. Salas (James), Juan M. Quintero, Julio C. Quintero (Michelle), Alejandrina Q. McCluskey (Mark ), Alfredo Quintero, 33 Grandchildren , 27 Great Grandchildren, Arcelia's Siblings: Isabel, Quirino, Loreto, Ricardo, Maria, Hector, and Sabino ( All last names are Gonzalez).

Visitation with an open mic will be Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 from 5 to 7 pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville with the rosary to begin at 7 :00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated onTuesday, October 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 721 Main St., Watsonville with interment to follow at Pioneer Cemetery, Watsonville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Carroll Family at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
