Bette Curtis

On Saturday, July 4th, 2015 Bette A. Curtis peacefully passed away in Watsonville. She was 91 years old.
Bette graduated from Watsonville High School and she loved being a wife and mother to her three boys. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing and bingo. Bette especially loved having her two girlfriends over Carol Rackley and Sonja Escalante over 2 nights a week to play cards or watch a Giants game.
Bette was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Walter Curtis and sons; Denton L. Curtis, Walter Curtis Jr. She is also preceded in death by her parents; Ernest Leroy Gumm and Lenora Shuey, and her siblings; Ruth, Frances, William, Haroldlloyd, Juanita, Amy, Jack, Bobby, Sherman.
She is survived by her 1 son; Jay L. (Monica) Curtis. Bette is also survived by her granddaughters; Mattie M. Soria, Tiffany R. Curtis, 4 great grandchildren, sister-in-law; Maureen Gumm Schmidt and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Lutheran Community Church, 95 Alta Vista Ave., Watsonville at 2:00 PM with burial to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 125 Hecker Pass RD.
