Bill R. Anderson, a longtime resident of Santa Cruz County, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, at the age of 94. A native of Arkansas, Bill made Santa Cruz County his home for over 85 years, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and community.

Bill proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Following his service, he became the owner and operator of Anderson Landscaping & Fencing, dedicating over 40 years to his craft and earning the respect of those he worked with and served. Bill enjoyed golfing, traveling, watching old westerns, sipping Coca-Cola, and sharing stories with anyone who would listen.

Bill is survived by his children, Timothy, Christopher, and William. Bill was blessed with 10 grandchildren, over 16 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Rustler-Anderson, his sons, Robert and Thomas. Bill is also preceded in death by his parents, Ditus and Edith Anderson and siblings Jean, John, Frieda, and Vern.

His ashes will be scattered alongside his beloved wife, Barbara, honoring their lifelong love.
