Brendan Patrick McCloskey

Brendan Patrick McCloskey, born March 3, 1982, passed away in a motorcycle accident on September 14, 2025, at the age of 43. Brendan was a beloved son, brother, friend, and colleague whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched countless lives.

A native of Corralitos in Santa Cruz County, Brendan had a successful career supervising the Silicon Valley GoodWill hub, where he was known for his integrity and dedication. Beyond his work, Brendan was known for his creative mind. He was passionate about surfing, building, mechanics and he brought joy and energy to every room he entered.

Brendan will be remembered most for his big heart, quick wit, and unwavering loyalty. He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help a friend, and he never missed an opportunity to make someone feel seen and valued.

He is survived by his parents, Marcia & Kevin McCloskey, his siblings Kelly Lynch & Matt McCloskey, nephew, nieces and many extended family and friends who loved him deeply and will carry his memory forward.

A celebration of Brendan’s life will be held on 11/15/25 at 1:30 @ Corralitos Community Center. Brendan’s light lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
