Brian Jones

Brian Neil Jones of Aptos, Ca passed away at home with his wife and daughter, Jenna by his side.
His parents, Lincoln and Muriel Jones of San Jose, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Maryanne Avila Jones, children, Jenna Abed and Anisa Sanchez, siblings, Chris (Madeleine Heassler) Jones and Lynn (Glen) Cornett, nephews, Ian Jones, Ethan Clarke, Sean and Matthew Cornett, and niece, Celeste Deruisa.
Until his retirement, Brian was a systems analyst for Santa Cruz County, after which he and his wife expanded their special, loving bond, especially enjoying hiking and birding together. Learning the art of welding and metal detecting at New Brighton State Beach were favorite lone activities. A man of great integrity, truth and honesty, Brian was ever supportive and caring. He had an incisive intelligence with a strong analytical bent and a fine sense of humor. All his family and friends greatly loved and appreciated Brian and he will be sorely missed.
The family thanks Hospice for their caring and supportive service.
A private memorial service will be held.
