Clotilde Lopez Estrada

Clotilde Lopez Estrada passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 13, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on May 19, 1932, in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, to her devoted parents Jose Maria Lopez and Maria Ceceña Lopez.

Clotilde was a woman of many talents and endless warmth. After earning her nursing degree in Nogales, she dedicated herself to caring for others and later worked at Horsnyder Pharmacy in Watsonville, California.

A true creative spirit, Clotilde loved to sew, sing, and dance. She found joy in playing the guitar and piano, tending to her garden, and caring for the many birds she adored. She also enjoyed breeding Pomchi and Boxer puppies and cherished quiet moments playing checkers or watching boxing matches with her beloved late husband, Miguel P. Estrada, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Her family remembers her as a woman who poured love, imagination, and dedication into everything she did—especially when decorating for birthdays and holidays. She created magic in every celebration and always made time to play with her children, filling their childhoods with laughter and love.

One of Mireya’s last cherished memories with her mother was spending an evening playing guitar and checkers together, and sharing smiles while watching Enamorándonos.

Clotilde is preceded in death by her husband Miguel P. Estrada, and her siblings Julieta M. Lopez, Miguel Lopez, and Manuel Lopez. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Delfina Lopez, and her children Mireya Arteaga Estrada (Juan Arteaga), Marisol Mora (Pablo Mora), Isabel E. Schmit, and Miguel Estrada (Sasha Estrada).

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren Juan Arteaga Estrada, Nohely Arteaga Estrada, Isabella Mora Contreras, Pablo Rafael Mora, Randy Mora, Andres Mora, Maddie E. Schmit, Roman E. Schmit, Reyna E. Gastelum, Katherine Estrada, and Miguel Estrada, as well as seven great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her spirit forward.

Clotilde will be remembered for her kindness, strength, creativity, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her.

Mommy, a part of you lives on with us, your memory remains in our hearts, and you are present in our lives. Everything that surrounds us has the mark of your dedication, your affection, and your infinite love that will always be by our side. And every time we see that star in the sky that shines among the crowd, the brightest star, the one distinguished by its beautiful light that illuminates and will always protect us, we know that it is you, our Angel in heaven. God has you in his holy glory, may you rest in peace. You will be reunited with our dear Papa. We Love you with all our hearts."

A viewing to honor the life of Clotilde L. Estrada will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate her beautiful life.

A Funeral Mass will follow the next morning on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, where her loved ones will come together in faith and gratitude to honor her life and legacy.

Clotilde López Estrada falleció pacíficamente en su hogar, rodeada del amor de su familia, el 13 de octubre de 2025, a la edad de 93 años. Nació el 19 de mayo de 1932 en Nogales, Sonora, México, hija de José María López y María Ceceña López.

Clotilde fue una mujer de muchos talentos y de un corazón bondadoso. Se graduó como enfermera en Nogales Sonora, Mexico. Donde se dedico a cuidar a los demas y más tarde trabajó en Horsnyder Pharmacy, en Watsonville, California, donde residió por más de 50 años.

Era una persona creativa, alegre y llena de vida. Le encantaba coser, cantar y bailar; también tocaba la guitarra y el piano con pasión. Disfrutaba cuidar su jardín, observar a las aves que tanto amaba y criar perritos Pomchi y Boxer. Pasaba bellos momentos jugando damas o viendo peleas de box junto a su amado esposo, Miguel P. Estrada, con quien compartió 55 años de matrimonio.

Su familia la recuerda como una mujer dedicada y detallista, que ponía todo su amor y creatividad en cada celebración. Sus decoraciones de cumpleaños y fiestas navideñas llenaban el hogar de alegría y color. Siempre encontraba tiempo para jugar con sus hijos y crear recuerdos llenos de ternura y risas.

Uno de los últimos recuerdos más queridos de Mireya fue pasar una tarde junto a su mamá, tocando la guitarra, jugando damas y viendo su programa favorito, Enamorándonos.

Clotilde fue precedida en muerte por su esposo Miguel P. Estrada, y sus hermanos Julieta M. López, Miguel López y Manuel López. La sobreviven su hermana Delfina López, y sus hijos Mireya Arteaga Estrada (Juan Arteaga), Marisol Mora (Pablo Mora), Isabel E. Schmit, y Miguel Estrada (Sasha Estrada).

También deja un hermoso legado en sus nietos Juan Arteaga Estrada, Nohely Arteaga Estrada, Isabella Mora Contreras, Pablo Rafael Mora, Randy Mora, Andrés Mora, Maddie E. Schmit, Roman E. Schmit, Reyna E. Gastelum, Katherine Estrada, y Miguel Estrada, así como siete bisnietos, quienes continuarán honrando su memoria y llevando en ellos su espíritu amoroso.

Clotilde será recordada por su bondad, su fortaleza, su alegría y el profundo amor que siempre tuvo por su familia. Su recuerdo vivirá para siempre en los corazones de quienes tuvieron la dicha de conocerla.

Se llevará a cabo una velación en honor a la vida de Clotilde L. Estrada en la Capilla Memorial Ave María, el jueves 6 de noviembre de 2025 a las 5:00 p.m.. Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a reunirse, compartir recuerdos y celebrar la hermosa vida de Clotilde.

La Misa Funeraria se celebrará al día siguiente, el viernes 7 de noviembre de 2025 a las 10:00 a.m., en la Iglesia Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro (Our Lady Help of Christians), donde sus seres queridos se unirán en fe y gratitud para honrar su vida y su legado.

Mi Angel en el cielo

Querida madrecita, dicen que cuando tienes a alguien que amas en el cielo, tienes un pedacito de cielo en tu casa. Para siempre y antes de tu partida te pedimos que nos guardaras un pedacito en el cielo para algun dia volver estar juntos.

Madrecita, a un una parte de ti vive con nosotros, tu recuerdo sigue en nuestros corazones y estas presente en nuestras vidas, todolo que no rodea tiene la huella de tu entrega, tu carino y tu amor infinito que siempre estara a nuestro lado y cada vez que veamos esa estrella en el cieloque brilla entre multitud, la estrella mas brillante y la que se distingue por su belleza luz que nos luminaria y protegera siempre, sabemos que eres tu, nuestro Angel en el cielo.

Dios te tieneen su santa gloria, que descanses en paz, ya te reuniras con nuestro querido papa. Te Amamos con todo nuestro corazones.
