Elena Guzman-Jimenez

Elena Guzman Jimenez passed away at home in Aptos surrounded by her family on November 16th.
She was 83.
Elena was born in Andocutin, Guanajuato, Mexico on August 13th 1934 to her proud parents Ramon Guzman and Florencia Jimenez. She was a family oriented woman who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking. She was very active, and enjoyed going on walks as often as possible. She was passionate about knitting and embroidering. Above all she was a hard working mother who was admired by many.
She is survived by her children, David (Irene) Ruiz, Rosa M (Juan) Flores, Eloy (Alma) Ruiz, Dalila (Stein) Langmo, Leobardo (Alma) Ruiz, Esperanza (Manuel) Mercado, Arturo (Orfalinda) Ruiz, Angelica (Pedro) Guzman and Ines Ruiz; 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas Ruiz; and siblings, Margarita Guzman, Guadalupe Guzman and Jose Guzman.
A Rosary will take place on Sunday, November 26th at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel in Watsonville at 7:00 PM. The Mass will be held on Monday, November 27th at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Pajaro at 10:00 AM.
