Felipe Sanchez

Felipe Sanchez passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, at the age of 92.

Felipe was born on August 23, 1933, to his parents Bernardo Sanchez and Trinidad Mancilla in Tizapan El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. He was a resident of Watsonville, CA and worked in agriculture, HA Rider & Sons for 25 years. In recent years, he enjoyed gardening and taking walks.

He was preceded in death by his wife Socorro Lomeli Martinez, his brother Refugio Sanchez and his sister Margarita Sanchez.

He is survived by his children Cristina (Genaro) Renteria, Estela (Jesus) Garcia, Jesus † (Benita) Sanchez, Amanda (Ricardo) Robledo, Olga (Enrique) Mendoza, Felipe (Lupita) Sanchez, Socorro Sanchez and Petra Sanchez. His sisters Josefina Sanchez and Sarah McCall; his 33 grandchildren, his 68 great-grandchildren and his 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 5-9 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Church located at 527 Corralitos Rd, Watsonville, CA. Graveside services will be at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.

Felipe nació el 23 de agosto del 1933 a sus padres Bernardo Sanchez y Trinidad Mancilla en Tizapan El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. El era un residente de Watsonville, California y trabajo en agricultura, HA Rider & Sons por 25 años. En sus últimos años el disfrutaba jardinería y caminar.

Felipe fue precedido en muerte por su esposa Socorro Lomeli Martinez y su hermano Refugio Sanchez y su hermana Margarita Sanchez.

Lo sobreviven sus hijos Cristina (Genaro) Renteria, Estela (Jesus) Garcia, Jesus † (Benita) Sanchez, Amanda (Ricardo) Robledo, Olga (Enrique) Mendoza, Felipe (Lupita) Sanchez, Socorro Sanchez y Petra Sanchez. Sus hermanas Josefina Sanchez y Sarah McCall, sus 33 nietos, sus 68 bisnietos y sus 16 tataranietos.

Una visitación se llevará a cabo el jueves 30 de julio del 2026 de 5 p.m. a 9 p.m. en Ave Maria Memorial Chapel con un Rosario a las 7 p.m. Misa Fúnebre se llevará a cabo el viernes 31 de julio del 2026 a las 11 a.m. en Holy Eucharist Church localizada en 527 Corralitos Rd., Watsonville, CA. Sepulcro en Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
