Gary Dean Smith Sr.

Gary Dean Smith Sr. passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, at the age of 76.

Gary was born on April 7, 1950, to his parents Ben Smith and Virginia Smith. He was married to his wife Viola Smith for 59 years and was a resident of Las Lomas and Prunedale, California. He was the owner/operator of Gary Smith Trucking and Sub-Hauler of Granite Rock company for 48 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bob Smith of Watsonville and his sister Theresa Calvert of Salinas.

He is survived by his loving wife, his son Gary Smith Jr., his daughter Konnie Smith, his 4 grandchildren and his 6 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held on May 23, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
