Guadalupe “Lupillo” Olivarez passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, at the age of 80.
Guadalupe was born on September 30, 1945, to his parents Joaquin and Maria Olivarez. He was a resident of Watsonville, California and married the love of his life, Martha Olivarez. He loved singing “Los Muecas” and dancing to Oldies as well as Rock & Roll. He worked at Clint Miller Farms for over 45 years and served as a member of Assumption Catholic Church. He also had an immense passion for Bay Area Sports and WWE.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Manuel Olivarez, Helen Peterson, Tony Olivarez and David Olivarez.
He is survived by his loving wife Martha Olivarez; his children Rosalina Olivarez, Cynthia (Jayson) Mendoza, Jessica (Marcos) Garcia; his siblings Terri Marquez, Jane Olivarez, Frankie Olivarez, Ofelia Serrano; and his 3 grandchildren Desmond Mendoza, Christian Mendoza and Jayden Mendoza.
In addition, we’d like to extend a sincere appreciation to Dr. Sandoval & Amanda Bryner NP for the care & upmost compassion to our beloved father.
Visitation will be held on February 11, 2026, from 5-9 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held on February 12, 2026, at 10 AM at Assumption Church with burial to follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
