It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ismael Rodriguez Plascencia, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 33.

A lifelong resident of Watsonville, Ismael was known for his kind heart, strong family values, and love for bringing people together.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—skateboarding, barbecuing, and cooking for his family and friends. Ismael especially loved preparing his signature dishes, including cheesecake, wings, spreads, and his well-known stacked hamburgers. His laughter, warmth, and passion for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Ismael was a proud father to Ismael Rodriguez and Isabella Rosemary Rodriguez, with another child on the way. He is also lovingly remembered by his parents, Salvador Rodriguez and Irma L. Plascencia, and his siblings, Nathaly Rodriguez and Ernesto Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel in Watsonville.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Valley Catholic Church.
