Javier Navarro took his last breaths surrounded by loved ones on April 21, 2026. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Javier was born in San Pedro Tesistan, Jalisco, México. He was one of the oldest of seven and raised by a single mother. Understanding the importance of hard work from a very young age, he became the main breadwinner for the family, and thus did not formally attend school. Soccer was his escape, and he played anytime he had free time. As he got older, watching soccer games became one of his favorite pastimes.
At the age of 17, Javier made the difficult decision to immigrate from Mexico looking for better opportunities; his wife Maria followed two years later. Javier and Maria were married for 52 years, and together they overcame many hardships to provide their three children a better life. He learned reading, writing, and arithmetic from his wife Maria, as an adult. Before his Parkinson's diagnosis, Javier provided for his family by working as a skilled carpenter, seasonal strawberry picker, and a roofer, among other construction trades. Maria continued to support and care for him as his health declined and he required around the clock care.
We will carry him forever in our hearts. His legacy of hard work and dedication to family will live on in everyone who knew him. Descansa en paz, papá.
