Joey J Silva

Joey J. Silva of Watsonville, California went home to be with the Lord on July, 2, 2022, after he courageously faced a series of health challenges. He was born on May 29, 1966, to Joe and Mary Silva. He leaves behind his sister, Anita Silva.

Joey had a curiosity for how things worked at a very young age. He had a natural ability to dive deep and learn anything that his curiosity led him to. He was set on a path to working in information technology as a result of his fascination with engineering. But his true passion of music shaped Joey into a drummer, producer and performer. As drummer, Joey joined a local band “Crosswalk”, while also serving the Lord in worship bands from FBC, Twin Lakes Church to Gateway City Church of San Jose.

There was always a sense of dry humor in whatever Joey did and yet he always had a sensitive and kind word to offer. Joey’s kindness grew into a willingness to share what he knew. His teaching was a gift from his heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Twin Lakes Church In Aptos, California.
