Jose Alvarez

Jose Antonio Alvarez passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 4, 2016. He was 81 years old. Jose was born to his proud parents, Jesus Alvarez and Odilona Mendoza on August 31, 1935.
Jose was a hardworking man devoted to his family. He took the time to teach his older children to read and write.
He was a vivacious man who loved to sing and dance among other hobbies such as gardening, cooking and sewing. He was very generous and often donated to various non-profit organizations such as St. Jude's and St. Mary's, etc.
He is survived by his wife Amparo Alvarez and thirteen children; Socorro, Esperanza, Graciela, Jorge, Toedolinda, Fidelina, Guadalupe, JosAC., Sergio, Alma, Carlos, Maribel and Tony. He is also survived by twelve siblings.
He also leaves 33 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Tuesday October 11, 2016 From 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. There will be a funeral Mass at Assumption Church on Wednesday with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
