Jose Guadalupe Casillas passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at the age of 94.

Our beloved father and grandfather, Jose Guadalupe Casillas was born on October 30, 1931, to his parents Eduardo Casillas and Benita Becerra in Pegueros, Jalisco Mexico. He married Tecla Cervantes and they were married for 62 years.

Jose worked in the agricultural industry most of his working life. He enjoyed family time along with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to sing and tell his stories of his childhood and as an adult. Jose had a passion for fixing and inventing anything that had a motor. Our father and mother loved to travel together to their native town of Pegueros Jalisco and were both big fans of the Dodgers. Jose was known by his friends as the lawnmower repair man, he will be missed deeply by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death his wife Tecla Casillas and his parents Eduardo and Benita Casillas, his siblings Elvira, Pasquala, Julia, Manuelito,Cleofas, Pablo, Guadalupe and granddaughter Danielle.

Jose is survived by his children, Estella (Louie), Eduardo, Maria (Roy), Martha (Mike), Caro, Benita(Scott), Margarita, Alfredo and his 15 grandchildren Michael, Brianna, Dante, Amanda, Marty, Jillian, Trisha, Ava, Chloe, Jonathan, Joshua, Brian, Jordan, Matthew, Brandon and 10 great grandchildren Aly, Nico, Gabriella, Marley, Laila, Joseph, Olivia, Ryker, Dehlani and Leon.

Visitation services will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 5-9 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Assumption Church with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
