Kristy Bertone

On May 27, 2024, Kristy Lynn Bertone, affectionately known as “Auntie K” amongst her family, passed away peacefully.

 She was born to Roy and Virginia Bertone in Watsonville on Jan. 2, 1956.

 She attended Moreland Notre Dame and was a graduate of the Watsonville High School class of 1974. 

Kristy is survived by her brother, Gary Bertone (Lisa), nieces Jillene Pina and Merissa Bertone, and great-niece, Harper Pina who was her greatest joy. 

For anyone that knew her, they knew of her adoration for Mickey Mouse, Disneyland, Princess Diana, and Tom Cruise. She was known by so many in the community for working at Freedom Bakery for 30+ years. She was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed.

 A rosary will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 14 at 11:30am. Reception to follow at Jalisco’s Mexican Restaurant.
