Linda Ann Brown

The Brown family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved matriarch, Linda Brown, on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

Linda Ann Cooper was born in Roseburg Oregon on March 5, 1949. As a young woman, she moved to Watsonville, California. She graduated from Watsonville high school in 1967. Later she worked for Pajaro Dunes, where she met and married Robert Brown. Together they settled in Aromas and raised three sons: Bobby, Timothy, and Nicholas.

Linda’s greatest joy came with the birth of her only grandchild, Thea, in 2012. Being a grandmother was one of her life’s most cherished roles. She also adored her nieces, nephews, and their children—treating them as her own—and she loved nothing more than having family gathered for holidays and celebrations.

Linda was known for her vibrant personality and her unmistakable love of the color purple—from her purple car, “Orchid,” to her purple phone, purses, nails, and clothes. Her signature color was always proudly on display. She was also a devoted animal lover who doted on her three Rhodesian Ridgebacks, who were never far from her side.

Above all, Linda loved her family—her boys, her granddaughter, and all those close to her. She found her greatest happiness in spending time with them.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Bob; her sons, Tim and Nick; her granddaughter, Thea, and Thea’s mother, Kristen; her nephews, John, James, and Drew, James’s wife, Terra; and many beloved nieces and nephews, including Alyssa, Skylar, and Jaxson. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lois and Lillian; and her eldest son, Bobby.

Services for Linda will be at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel in Watsonville on Saturday, November 22, from 10am-2pm.
