Watsonville, Ca

Luisa Parra, age 76, of Watsonville, California, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Luisa was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend whose warmth, generosity, and love for life touched everyone who knew her. She had a heart of gold and a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. She never met a stranger and could light up any room with her beautiful smile, laughter, and joyful spirit.

Luisa enjoyed a successful career in banking for over 30 years, working for Bank of America, First National Bank, and Union Bank. Throughout her career, she developed lasting friendships and was known for her dedication, kindness, and genuine care for others.

Luisa loved life and lived it to the fullest. She especially enjoyed music, dancing, celebrating special occasions, and spending time with family and friends. She was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved, creating memories, sharing laughter, and bringing everyone together. Her home and heart were always open, and she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel like part of her family.

Above all, family was everything to Luisa. She recently celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with her beloved husband, Juan Parra, a beautiful milestone representing a lifetime of love, commitment, and cherished memories. Together, they raised four children and built a close-knit family that remained the center of her world.

Her greatest joy was being Nana to her 12 grandchildren, whom she loved beyond measure. There was absolutely nothing she wouldn't do for them. She was their biggest supporter, always celebrating their accomplishments, encouraging their dreams, and making sure they knew how deeply they were loved. Whether attending their activities, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time together, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Being their Nana was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

Luisa's love extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a devoted sister, a loving aunt, and a cherished godmother to countless godchildren whom she loved and treated as her own. She embraced each of them with the same unconditional love, generosity, and warmth that she gave her own children. Her heart had room for everyone, and she made sure those she loved always felt special, supported, and part of her family.

Luisa is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Juan Parra; her four children, Elizabeth Padilla (spouse Luis Padilla), Miguel Parra (spouse Anabel Parra), Luis Parra, and Eric Parra; her 12 beloved grandchildren, Brianna, Nevaeh, and Alyssa Padilla; Elijah, Devon, Dalilah, Ayden, and Josiah Parra; Noah and Faith Parra; and Malana and Eric Parra Jr.; and her four siblings. She also leaves behind countless godchildren, whom she loved and treated as her own, along with extended family members, siblings, dear friends, and countless others whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness.

Luisa will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, her unconditional love for her family, her generosity, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely and the beautiful family she cherished more than anything. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
