Manuel Sanchez Madera

On February 14, Manuel Sanchez Madera passed away peacefully surrounded by family in San Jose. He was 69.

Manuel was born on June 5, 1949 in Maria de la Torre, Zacatecas, Mexico to his proud parents Cayetana Madera and Jesus Sanchez. He was a hardworking man dedicated to providing for his family. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico and spending time at his ranch. He was a passionate baseball fan that loved watching his Dodgers play. Spending time with his family is what he cherished most. He was a resident of Watsonville.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Sanchez; his children, Hector Sanchez and Olga Sanchez; his mother Cayetana Madera; his siblings, Roberto Sanchez, Jose Sanchez, Ramon Sanchez, Gilberto Sanchez and Abigal Sanchez; and his granddaughter Briana Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Sanchez; and his sister Elvira Sanchez.

A visitation service will be held on February 28, 2019 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel from 5:00-9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00. Mass will be celebrated on March 1, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Church at 10:00 AM with the burial following directly after at Valley Public Cemetery.
