Maria Dolores Gallo

Maria Gallo of Watsonville died on Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was 89. She was born on September 13, 1932 to Reginaldo Perez and Micaela Gutierrez in Waterloo, Iowa. She was married to Pablo Gallo who has passed. They had seven children Arturo (Yolanda), Celia Antonia (Sergio), Juan De Dios (Carmen), Pablo (Imelda), Maria Dolores (Jesse), Leticia (Uriel) and Palmira (Ruben). She was a migrant farmworker in Watsonville for 35 years.

She was dedicated to raising her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking big meals for her family everday. She loved playing Bingo with close friends at church, and spent a lot of time knitting, gardening and reading prayer books. She was very fond of animals and looked forward to spending time with her dog Lucas.

Maria is survived by seven children, 25 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, Aug. 1st at Our Lady of Help Church in Watsonville. Rosary will begin at 6:00pm and the holy mass will immediately follow at 7pm. The burial will be privately held the next day.
