Mary Meyers

Mary Joan Meyers peacefully passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was 94. Joan was a long time medical Receptionist for a local doctors office. Has served the Watsonville Community Hospital service league as a past president for many years. Joan and her husband were long time parishioners of Valley Catholic Church, avidly supporting and volunteering for Saint Francis Friday night Bingo. Joan enjoyed wonderful camping trips making many memories with family and friends over the years. Joan is survived by her grandchildren; Rachael A Singleton, Jonathan R Fontana and Stephanie L Fontana. Also survived by her Son-in-law James D Fontana and her two Great grandchildren, Tyler Singleton and Jax Fontana. As well as many loved nieces and nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G Meyers and daughter Carol A Fontana. And by her siblings, Eileen Stolarz and Bud Daley A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 11 AM AT Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 1 PM at Valley Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Valley Catholic Church, Watsonville.
