Mayte Garcia

Mayte Paola Garcia passed away in Santa Cruz on February 14. She was 33.

Mayte was a family-oriented woman who embraced all aspects of life. She loved sports and played soccer and basketball in high school. She loved listening to music, most notably Banda. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family. Spending quality time with her family and kids is what she treasured most. She was a resident of Watsonville.

She is survived by her husband, Gustavo Garcia; her children, Angel Hernandez Garcia and Wendy Garcia; Her parents Armando Garcia and Rosa Garcia; her siblings Paloma, Andrea and Karen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and family members, Darlene, Jazmine, Aaliyah, Franki, Maury, Victor, Juana, Irene, Mati, Meche, Alejandra Dtilia and numerous aunts, uncles and nieces.

Visitation services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 5-9 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11 AM at Assumption Church with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
