Preciliano Hernandez Martinez

Preciliano Hernandez Martinez, a longtime resident of Watsonville, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, at the age of 93.

Preciliano was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Salud Hernandez, and a loving father of 17 children. An only child himself, he went on to create a large and beautiful family that became the center of his life. He was a loving grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a wonderful father-in-law to his daughters-in-law and sons-in-law.

Preciliano will be remembered as an exemplary father, a hardworking man, and someone who earned the love and respect of those around him. Above all, he was a wonderful grandfather who deeply cherished his family. His love, guidance, and dedication will remain in the hearts of his loved ones for generations to come.

Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 5-9 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
