Rafael Castorena Gallegos

Rafael Castorena Gallegos passed away on November 9, 2025 at the age of 72.

He was born on August 27, 1953 to his parents J. Guadalupe Castorena and Maria Teresa Gallegos. He was a native of Loreto, Zacatecas and married his loving wife, Rosa Maria Castorena.

Rafael was a Roofer for more than 30 years and was a dedicated handyman. He came from Loreto, Zacatecas to the U.S. for better opportunities to provide for his family. He was a hardworking father and loving husband who loved listening to music and whistling all the time. His favorite pastimes were working on his home projects, watching movies/sports and enjoyed tending his plants and garden.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Maria Castorena; his children Elena, Juan, Manuel, Gloria, Mario, Brenda and Teresa; his siblings Jaime, Basilio, Javier, Rosa, Laura, Rebeca, Beates, Claudio, Raul, Juan Carlos, Jose Manuel, Lorenzo; and 21 grandchildren Luis, Kassey, Luna, Angel, Aaron, Emily, Caroline, Joel, Daniel, Erick, Olivia, Karmen, Isaac, Brandon, Natalie, Soka, Elyana, Lucas, Alexa, Olivia, and Genna.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Rosary will be at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Church with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
