Rafael Lopez

On Thursday, March 30, 2017 Rafael Vergel Lopez peacefully passed away surrounded by his family in Watsonville. He was 94.
Rafael was born on August 18, 1922 in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Rafael was a big fan of crossword puzzles and Western Films. He was very into story telling about his past experiences and was a proud retired Chief of Police in Jacona, MichoacA�n. Rafael will be forever missed and always cherished in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Feliciano and Maria Lopez.
Rafael is survived by his beloved wife, Maria de Jesus Dominguez and his children; Esperanza Torres, Arturo Lopez, Artemio Lopez, Lourdes Navarro, Maria de Jesus Lopez, Magdalena Maciel, Rocio Lopez, Francisco Lopez and Rafael Lopez. He is also survived by his 15 siblings and his 30 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5-9 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10 AM at Saint Patricks Church with a Final Blessing Ceremony at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park to follow.
