Ramon Orante Chavez

Ramon Orante Chavez passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 16th, 1970, in San Jose, California.

Ramon leaves to cherish his memory his loving Mother, Artemiza Orante Chavez and late Mariano G. Chavez; late wife Miriam “Mimi” McGowan; his brother, Mariano "Greg" Chavez and his wife, Lena Monique Chavez, all of Aromas, California; his niece, Hannah Joy Duffy of Valencia, California; and his girlfriend, Sherry Mori of Linden, California.

Ramon was an active high school athlete, participating in track and field and football, while also spending a summer in exploratory Olympic training. Ramon has a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed activities such as camping, hiking, visiting the beach, kayaking, playing volleyball, and fishing. Adventurous at heart, he especially loved exploring back roads and being surrounded by nature when he could.

He was kind and loving to his family, friends, and everyone that he encountered. Ramon valued his time working at Pajaro Dunes Resort for over 20 years and AT&T for 4 years, where he built lasting friendships.

Ramon was a down-to-Earth man who intentionally loved others. He extended that love to all those in his life, both in Pennsylvania and California. He will be profoundly missed by so many.
