Raquel Alonzo

Our dear mother Raquel Alonzo sadly passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 69.

Raquel was born on January 21, 1954, to her parents Alfonso Alonzo and Margarita Alonzo in Michoacan, Mexico.

Raquel was a woman of many wonderful traits. She was dedicated to her family and loved spending time with them. She worked in the canneries for many years. Her favorite hobby was playing bingo. She also enjoyed dancing. She was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever she went. She will be missed dearly by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Raquel was a resident of Watsonville for 50 years.

She is survived by her children, Daniel, Leticia, Gavino, Salvador and Alfonso, siblings, Irma, Consuelo, Salvador, Fidel, Margarita, Ester, Maria and Alfonso, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 5:00-9:00 PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held the following day, Monday, October 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM with the burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
