Rebecca Duran

Rebecca Duran, a beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted wife, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, Rebecca made her home in Watsonville, California, where she lived for over six decades after settling there in 1964.

A full-time wife, mother, and grandmother, Rebecca dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Duran, who passed away in January 2018. She is survived by her loving children: Leticia Mariscal, Martin Duran, Ignacio Duran Jr., Herlinda Duran and her brother Alfonso Alarcon. She also leaves behind her 10 grandchildren and extended family who will forever hold her memory close.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Salvador Alarcon and parents Salvador Alarcon and Paula Soto.

Visitation services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 10AM with a Rosary starting at 10:30 AM at Holy Eucharist. Mass will be at 11:00 AM with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
