Reynaldo Villarico Polhen

September 13, 1946 — May 7, 2024

Salinas

Reynaldo Villarico Polhen was a native of Manila Pasay City, Philippines but resided in Salinas. He was born on September 13, 1946 and passed away at Salinas Valley Health Medical Center May 7, 2024.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Maxine and his three children Rommel, Patrick, and Krystle, his grandchildren Azareil,Jeremiah, and Kaitlin, as well as his family in the Philippines. He is predeceased by his oldest daughter Marichel.

He worked for the City of Watsonville for more than 10 years and gave over 40 years to Martinellis and Co. and was still employed when he passed.

Rey certainly didn't disappoint when it came to loving his family. He was a hardworking husband and dependable father. He was kind, friendly, and most importantly he loved cracking jokes. He enjoyed the Warriors, the 49ers, but we all knew he was a die hard Giants fan. But if we're being honest, his favorite sport was always lotto. He truly will be missed.

All services will be held in Watsonville. Mass will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 10:00am at Valley Catholic Church on East Lake. The Rosary to follow at Ave Maria Chapel Main St. And the reception will be at Veterans of Foreign Wars Freedom Blvd. at 3:30pm.
