Rosa Hernandez, age 69, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. She was born on January 31, 1957, in Tangancícuaro, Michoacán, Mexico, and later made her home in Watsonville, California.

Rosa retired from UCSC Custodial Services after 29 years of dedicated service. She completed her G.E.D. at Watsonville Adult School and was a faithful and active parishioner of Holy Eucharist Catholic Church. Rosa enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, strong faith, and devotion to those she cherished.

Rosa was the beloved wife of Salvador Hernandez and a devoted mother to Lupe (Ernest), Mireya, Salvador Jr. (Kelly), and Rene. She was a proud grandmother to Anely, Jacob, Cameron, and Dominic, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings Primitiva, Teresa, Miguel, Jenny, and Beatriz. Rosa was the cherished daughter of Miguel and Genoveva Vasquez.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Josefina and Frank.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 5:00–8:30 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial at Valley Public Cemetery.
