Tanumia Fepulea'i

August 26, 1926 — March 27, 2017

Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Tanumia Fepulea'i died peacefully in Aromas at the home of her daughter Fiaau (Ohmann) and son-in-law Kent Ohmann on Monday, March 27th at 5am, surrounded by her loved ones.
Tanumia was born in the South Pacific, in the Manu'a island of Ta'u (American Samoa), in the village of Faleasao. She moved to Menlo Park, California 39 years ago and later moved to Aromas where she lived with her daughter for over 28 years.
She was affectionately referred to as Grandma Mia by all who knew her. Grandma Mia's greatest joy was being with her family; not only did she raise her own children, she also helped raise her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a woman of great faith, and lived her life in daily prayer. She loved her family and she will be truly missed by many. Ia manuia lau Malaga, ia manuia foi matou uma I le alofa ma le agalelei olo tatou Tama oi le Lagi.
Visitation services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 2-7PM with a church service at 5 PM at Samoa Congregational Christian Church of Sunnyvale, 1028 Ahwanee Ave, Sunnyvale Ca 94085. A service will be celebrated on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11 AM at Samoa Congregational Christian Church of Sunnyvale with burial to follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
