William O'Gorman

William C. O'Gorman, born October 9, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully at his home in La Selva Beach on February 9, 2017.
Bill stood proudly for the U.S. Army in World War II and served as a medic in the 79th Infantry in Normandy, France. He started his family in Ridgefield, Connecticut and later moved to Santa Clara, CA. After retirement from Prudential Insurance he moved to the coast to enjoy his years with the love of his life, Catherine. There Bill enjoyed golf, reading and the tradition of family gatherings. The family gathered yearly to celebrate 4th of July and to give thanks at Thanksgiving.
Bill is survived by his wife of 69 years, Catherine. His children Michael (Sherry), Christine (Willy McCaskill, deceased), James (Victoria), Frank (Marina), Paul (Michele), & Peter (Kathleen). Bill adored his 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will celebrate his life privately and ask that you remember his robust spirit, wit & kindness. We would like to thank Hospice of Santa Cruz County and Cindy Clark for providing loving care for Bill.
