William Schulz

William Allen Schulz, born 1/17/58, passed away on 6/8/18 after a four-year relationship with metastatic prostate cancer. Bill was the husband of Jeanie Bell, stepfather of Jessica and Sara Bell and beloved sibling of Becky Schulz-Trotter, Bob Schulz and Betsy Schulz. He is also survived by his animal companions; Shasta, Lassen & Kitty.

Bill, aka TheFixitGuy, was best known for his amazing ability to fix just about anything. From computer issues to leaky faucets to broken hearts, Bill was always ready and willing to jump in and tackle any problem that came his way. He used the same logical and methodical thinking to confront his diagnosis of prostate cancer and although that was one problem he was unable to fix, he made the best of his situation by researching, planning and adapting to his changing health.

Bill was an avid animal lover and a musician, playing both piano and guitar. He was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed water sports of all kinds including water skiing, surfing, sailing, fishing and swimming. Despite his health challenges the past few years, Bill was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of learning to fly. This process brought new and wonderful relationships into his life and he spent many happy hours with his aviation friends and his beloved DA20 - N699WB.

A Celebration of Life gathering is planned for Saturday, August 11th from 2-5 pm at Chaminade Resort in Santa Cruz, CA.
