Esteban Munoz Marquez

On April 15, Esteban Enrique Munoz Marquez passed away in Santa Cruz surrounded by his family. He was 60.

Esteban was born in Mexico on November 28, 1958 to his parents Avelina and Candido Munoz. He was a gregarious man that loved being around his family and friends. He enjoyed swimming and long walks with his wife in Monterey and Santa Cruz. He was a gifted comedian that enjoyed making people around him laugh. He was a philosopher and a deep thinker. He loved to joke even about his own impending death. He was a resident of California.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Zamorano; his children Esteban Ivan Munoz and Grecia Munoz; his siblings, Ramon, Felix, Elena, Carmela, Lurdes and Ofelia; and his lovely cat. He was preceded in death by his brother Jose De Jesus.

A Visitation service will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 5:00-9:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel located at 609 Main St. in Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 26th at 11:00 AM at Holy Eucharist Catholic Church located at 527 Corralitos Rd. in Watsonville.
