Miriam Villalobos

August 16, 1990 ~ December 17, 2020 (age 30)

Miriam Villalobos passed away on December 17, 2020, at 9:30 am. She suffered from COVID, and other complications that took her life. Miriam left us too soon. This time of her transition has been very tragic and heartbreaking for everyone. We are very sad that she left us so soon.

Her sudden illness came rapidly. We are experiencing challenges in being able to offer the proper services that Miriam deserves in this time of the pandemic. We are respectfully asking our friends and community to offer their assistance.

Miriam was born on August 16, 1990 and was a native of Watsonville, CA.  She was 30 years old.  Throughout her lifetime Miriam was bound to her wheelchair but that didn't stop her from achieving her goals and being an active member of the community. The people that we’re blessed to be able to know Miriam knew how she could be sweet, caring, and outgoing.

Some of her hobbies were listening to music, going to concerts, and being part of the community. Events and places she participated in were: Watsonville Peace Unity March, Watsonville Women’s March, Transportation Accessibility, Winter Homeless Program Lutheran for the Salvation Army, Loaves and Fishes Pantry and Lunch, Watsonville Public Library, Senior Center, Breakfast with Santa, asst. With some Murals in Watsonville, Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds Ag. & Harvest Produce, YWCA, Summer Lunch Program, and other community events.

Miriam is survived by her parents Arturo and Ofelia Villalobos; her siblings Edgardo, Israel, and Nahara Villalobos; and also by her niece Giselle, and her nephews Anarae and Brandon.

A visitation service will be held on Monday January 4, from 6pm-9pm at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St. in Watsonville. The funeral mass in honor of Miriam will take place on Tuesday, January 5 at 10am at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Pajaro with the burial to directly follow at Valley Public Cemetery.

So again we ask you to please help us with anything you can . Anything will be greatly appreciated. Donations can be made to the Go Fund Me account set up by her sister Nahara Villalobos.
